Annette offers several event packages [link to packages page] tailored to the needs of each occasion. Her fee is based on the type of event and the location of the venue. Some events have additional opportunities for harp music to add beautiful, delicate sounds. At weddings, for example, Annette can play as guests arrive, during the procession and ceremony, and as guests exit. She also can play during the cocktail hour, entertaining guests and providing a warm ambience. Annette also offers a free consultation and comes to the rehearsal to make sure everyone in the wedding party is familiar with the music and the timing of the processional. Generally, the fee for a wedding starts at $350.00. For most other events, the fee is $100 per hour, with a two-hour minimum.
The first step is to book a consultation with Annette. She will meet with you to discuss the details of your event and your musical selections. Often, Annette meets with the event host and others who are involved in the event planning process. For weddings, this often includes the bridal couple and the bride or groom’s mothers or a bridal attendant. At this consultation, Annette can make recommendations and offer insight on ways to enchant your guests by bringing beautiful live harp music to your event. Consultations can be held virtually, in person, or over the phone.
The harp provides beautiful, delicate sounds at events indoors or outdoors. Annette brings and sets up audio equipment which allows attendees to hear the live harp music. There are no other accommodations required unless there is a chance of rain or extreme heat. Alternate plans can be discussed to ensure the harp can remain in a dry or cool location.
Annette began playing the harp close to fifteen years ago. Since then, she has shared her love for the distinctive sounds and graceful elegance of the harp. She enjoys the array of emotions the harp evokes at all types of events. As Harpist from the Heart, Annette performs throughout Southern California at weddings, memorial services, parties, and other special events. She continues to add new songs and musical arrangements to her repertoire.
Whether the event is for 2 or 200, every guest can enjoy the harp’s lovely sounds. For larger venues, Annette brings the necessary equipment to amplify the music so it can be appreciated in all settings. In smaller spaces, the harp is played acoustically to set an intimate tone.
With a diverse repertoire, Annette’s song list [link to music page] already includes music across a wide variety of genres that can set the mood and tone of your unique celebration. From classical favorites, contemporary and popular songs, wedding selections, original harp arrangements, holiday favorites, and music from movies, most of Annette’s clients find the perfect sounds are on her song list. As a professional harpist, she can offer guidance on which selections may be appropriate at certain places during your event. Because harp arrangements for many songs are difficult to find, Annette prefers to play the songs on her existing repertoire.
Annette offers a complimentary consultation for clients to hear the live harp music prior to their special event. Consultations are held in person, over the phone, or over Zoom. Annette can help you plan the program of music to keep your guests entertained.
Annette works closely with her clients on these details. Many times, she can tailor her clothing to fit the colors or theme of the event. For black tie events, she dresses formally with a tasteful presentation. For other events, she dresses in a festive style that is appropriate for the occasion.
